A man in his 50s has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in County Limerick.
The incident occurred at around 7pm on the R519 at Callahow, near Dromcollogher, on Thursday evening. Emergency services attended the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The section of the R519 where the crash occurred remains closed this morning to allow for a technical examination, and local diversions are currently in place. Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses, particularly those with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision, to come forward.
