The incident occurred at around 7pm on the R519 at Callahow, near Dromcollogher, on Thursday evening. Emergency services attended the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
