Introduction

Rescue Organisation Ireland (ROI) is calling on all community first responders, voluntary and professional emergency services personnel to take part in this year’s National Rescue and CPR Challenge, at Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre on Saturday 24 May.

There will be three elements to this year’s challenge – extrication, trauma and CPR. Entries are now open for all three challenges and will close on Wednesday 21 May. Once all entries have been received and accepted, ROI will send out the full event details to all participants.

This annual event will test CPR skills, teamwork and readiness in real-life scenarios for all seasoned emergency first responders and newcomers, offering a unique opportunity to hone and showcase their lifesaving skills and share knowledge. It is also a good networking opportunity to connect with first responders and suppliers from across the country.

ROI will also provide free CPR training to the public, the aim of which is to promote and showcase the importance of training as many people as possible in this vital lifesaving skill.
