Over 200 new Garda recruits have graduated from the Garda College in Templemore, ready to serve communities across Ireland. The graduation ceremony was attended by the Minister for Justice and the Garda Commissioner.

Proud Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony at the Garda College marked the culmination of an intensive 34-week training programme. Family members and friends gathered to witness the passing out parade as the new Gardaí received their attestation and became sworn members of An Garda Síochána.

The graduating class represents one of the most diverse in the history of the force, with recruits from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and nationalities reflecting modern Ireland.

"These new Gardaí represent the future of policing in Ireland. They have demonstrated dedication, resilience, and a genuine commitment to serving their communities."

— Garda Commissioner

Comprehensive Training

The training programme covered all aspects of modern policing, including criminal law, community policing, conflict resolution, first aid, and fitness. Recruits also received specialist training in areas such as domestic violence response and mental health awareness.

Deployment Across Ireland

The newly graduated Gardaí will be deployed to stations across all 28 Garda divisions nationwide. Priority has been given to areas with the greatest need, including rural communities and urban centres experiencing population growth.
