Emergency services were called to a residential property in Rochestown, Co. Cork, following reports of a fire at the premises.
Units from Cork City Fire Brigade responded to the incident and brought the situation under control. The fire is understood to have caused damage to the property, though no serious injuries have been reported at this time.
An Garda Síochána also attended the scene and have confirmed that the incident is being investigated as suspected criminal damage by fire.
A technical examination of the scene is expected to take place, and Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or who may have relevant information to contact them.
